Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I’m happy to report that I’m back from a wonderfully relaxing vacation with my partner. We’ve recently celebrated our 5 year anniversary and of course SCOTUS killed DOMA here in the U.S., right as we’re going into the best Pride celebration-NYC Pride. There is, truly, a lot to be thankful for.
As if I could add more happiness to this time, I got a clean bill of health from the fertility clinic we’re working with!
Leah and I went to the clinic to get my results. I needed her with me and was prepared to hear more not-so-great news, but we were elated to get a clean bill of health. The clinic suggested that we meet with a therapist to discuss, together, once again the process which Leah is grateful for. While I think I’m perfectly clear with how we’ll talk to our children about “where they come from”-your moms, Leah is concerned that that answer may not be sufficient. We know that having a known donor could make things more complicated, but the idea of the unknown is starting to be a concern again for her.
So for the next few months I’ll be working on getting into shape, losing a couple pounds and eating heathfully so that I can make my body a comfortable and safe environment for a little one. We’ve found a therapist who works with immas and have appointments set for the next week. I also found an acupuncturist that specializes in fertility so all-in-all, this Pride Weekend is one worth celebrating in a big way!
Sending many blessings of love and health to you all!
